Miss Suzie #2

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

Miss Suzie had a baby,
she named it “Tiny Tim.”
She put it in the bathtub
to see if it could swim.

It drank up all the water,
it ate up all the soap.
It tried to eat the bathtub,
but it wouldn’t fit down his throat.

Miss Suzie called the doctor.
Miss Suzie called the nurse.
Miss Suzie called the lady
with the alligator purse.

In came the doctor.
In came the nurse.
In came the lady
with the alligator purse.

“Mumps,” said the doctor.
“Measles,” said the nurse.
“Nothing,” said the lady
with the alligator purse.

A dime for the doctor,
nickle for the nurse.
Nothing for the lady
with the alligator purse.

Out went the doctor.
Out went the nurse.
Out went the lady
with the alligator purse.

About the Rhyming Category

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

In an attempt to think of things to amuse me with, mom and dad (well, mostly mom) have been reaching back into childhood memories, and augmenting those efforts with web searches to come up with various kids rhymes. From paddy cake to nursery rhymes to jump rope songs, kids love rhymes, and I’m sure I’ll be no different once my language skills mature to that point. In the meanwhile, I’m letting mom and dad post their reconstructed childhood rhymes here in my blog.
