Moonlight Sunset (9 November 2011)

Monday, August 6th, 2012

It is evening
The sun is setting
It is a beautiful sight
The sky is full
Of purples and blues and reds
The moon is coming up
Through a small crack in the mountain above the sea
The birds are all saying goodnight
Cheep, cheep, cheep
The lights in the houses are turning off
All is silent

Then in a little while
The sun is up
It is a bright and beautiful day
The sun is shining
The grass is green
The flowers are purple and yellow
I slipped outside
And sat in the beautiful grass.

At the Shack (14 December 2011)

Monday, August 6th, 2012

the wind blows across the trees
in the early light of morning.
the shack’s silver roof gleems
under the blanket of dew.

The Pile of Hay

Wednesday, July 25th, 2012

This is the way to the pile of hay
It is the perfect place to play
Nay, there is no way to stay
In that pile of hay
But it’s near the bay,
Which is great, for the hay and the bay are the best place to play.
There are perfect days when you get to play in the hay
But on other days
You have to play
In the bay.
This is the way to go to that pile of hay
Turn left on Gray Street
Then on Zay
There’s that pile of hay on the bay.

The Whining Rock

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

The sun is shining on the rocks
It makes them shine like the docks
Because they shine
It makes them whine
Because they whine
They’re fine!

The Sky

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

The sun is floating through the sky
Like the stars at night.
The moon is shining through the clouds
To make light.
